- West Coast Hospitality and great sportsmanship! The UVA Men's V8+ in their Henley Royal Gear before a nice dinner at the U.Washington Boathouse. The Huskies also provided the Hoos with some orange painted Concept2 Rowing oars. With S8.31 8+ racked in the background UVA is set for a great weekend of racing! - There was an exciting finish this weekend at the SIRA Regatta in the final of the Heavy Men's 8+. GW (S8.31) and UVA (S8.31) battled all the way down the course. Each boat finished over a boat length of open water ahead of the rest of the field. The colonials finished 3/10 of a second ahead of the Hoos. Congratulations to both crews for a strong finish as well as the Notre Dame Men (S8.31) who also finished in the Grand Final.

- Remember we promised an updated photo of Scotch College a while back? Here it is! The Scotch College boys had an undefeated season in the S8.31 this year. They won the Australian National Championships (Barrington Cup), in addition to the New South Wales and Victorian Schoolboy Eight titles. Their undefeated season was capped off by winning the Victorian Head of the River. Congratulations to Head Coach Tom Woodruff and the rest of the Scotch Crew, Coaches and parents!
